Jimmie Powell is a third-generation rancher who has devoted his life to the livestock industry and ranching. Powell lives on the Six Mile Ranch and raises registered Hereford and commercial Angus cattle in Texas and Nebraska. He is highly regarded for his wise use of natural resources and conservation practices as well as his commitment to education. He has served as chairman of the National Cattlemen’s Association Tax Committee and president of the National Wool Growers Association, Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association and Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
