RECIPIENT

Jack Maddux was a fourth-generation rancher and manager of the Maddux Cattle Co., a 3,000-head feed yard and a 2,500-head cow-calf operation located on some 40,000 acres of deeded and leased land. He was named Cattle Businessman of the Year by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Cattleman of the Year by the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association, and Livestock Leader of the Year by Colorado State University. He was also honored for excellence in the management of Nebraska rangeland and listed in the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement.
